Leaving Cert. for Overseas Students

If you wish to sit the leaving certificate as an overseas candidate, there a number of steps to consider.
Registering to sit the Leaving Certificate
The Ordinary Closing date for External Applications is usually the end of January in the year of sitting examination.
If you want to sit the Leaving Certificate as an external candidate, you must apply through the State Examinations board.
The fees are:
- First time entry (3+ subjects) : €109
- First time entry (1 or 2 subjects) : €67
- Repeat entry (3+ subjects) : €308
- Repeat entry (2 subjects) : €199
- Repeat entry (1 subject) : €109
